Switzerland-based industrial hemp materials
From the field.
To industrial materials.
VELNATYX Materials is a Switzerland-based industrial hemp materials company focused on technical fibre and hurd for manufacturers across Europe, with feedstock from regional growers.
*Benchmark of 16 selected hemp processors and material companies; not a census of the Swiss market.
01 / The opportunity
A crop needs a route
to industry.
Growers need a credible outlet for their straw. Manufacturers need materials that fit their process. VELNATYX is set up to connect those needs through processing and qualification.
The field
Regional growers
Hemp straw with a structured route towards industrial markets.
VELNATYX Materials
Process. Grade. Qualify.
Turn a regional crop into a usable industrial input.
The production line
Industrial buyers
Material properties, quality and supply to be agreed for each application.

From plants to industry
Straw Specification
One crop. Processed, graded and qualified for the line it is going to.
02 / The materials
One stalk. Two useful material families.
Separating the hemp stalk reveals two distinct fractions: the strong outer fibre and the lightweight woody core.

01 / Technical bast fibre
Strength from the outer fibre.
Long outer fibres for applications that need structure, reinforcement or a fibrous mat.
Target specification
Fibre length · purity · moisture · contamination limits
02 / Hurd · also called shiv
Versatility from the woody core.
The light inner core of the stalk, prepared for building materials and other industrial uses.
Target specification
Particle grading · moisture · dust content · bulk density
Target specifications are agreed by application and confirmed through sample testing.
03 / Where the material goes
Start with what you make.
The same plant can serve different processes. Your end product determines the fraction, grade and tests we work towards.

- ConstructionHurdHemp-lime walls, blocks and plasters
- InsulationFibre + hurdInsulation mats and loose-fill applications
- PackagingFibreMoulded fibre and protective packaging development
- NonwovensFibreTechnical mats, webs and fibre-based products
- BiocompositesFibre + hurdBoards, reinforced compounds and composite formulations
Application examples are development and qualification routes, not certifications or guaranteed performance.
04 / How supply is built
A clear route. A measured build-out.
The material journey stays simple. We start with partner processing and add our own capabilities as demand and technical results support them.
01
01 / Source
Partner growers
Agree crop quality, handling and the route from farm to processor.
02
02 / Separate
Process the straw
Decortication separates the outer fibre from the woody core.
03
03 / Prepare
Grade the material
Screen, dedust and prepare the fraction for its target application.
04
04 / Qualify
Fit your process
Test samples and agree the requirements for supply.
Capacity follows qualification
Phase 01 / Current focus
Validate
Develop partner-led trials, customer qualification and initial supply agreements.
Phase 02 / Planned
Upgrade
Add calibration and bagging to offer more consistent, application-specific hurd.
Phase 03 / Planned
Process
Establish our own decortication line when demand and economics support it.
Phase 04 / Development
Extend
Develop higher-value materials and expand the grower and customer network.
Availability, quantities, specifications and delivery dates are confirmed per project. Own processing capacity remains planned.
05 / Our geography
Close to the field. Connected to Europe.

Indicative map. The radius is shown around an indicative location; the final processing site is still to be selected. Market points show target regions.
150 km
Target regional feedstock radius around the selected processing location
Straw comes from regional growers in Switzerland and neighbouring regions.
Local straw. European customers.
The radius defines where straw comes from, not where we sell. Our markets are Switzerland and Europe.
06 / For growers
A crop you can
plan around.
VELNATYX is looking for long-term grower partners within the target feedstock radius. The aim is a practical supply arrangement you can evaluate before committing a season.
Explore a supply partnership01 / Commercial terms
A clear buying arrangement
Discuss contract length, expected volumes and the proposed pricing framework.
02 / Crop & quality
Support from crop to straw
Agree varieties, agronomy, harvest requirements and the quality expected at intake.
03 / Practical logistics
A workable collection plan
Define baling, on-farm storage and collection responsibilities together.

07 / The people behind it

An operator’s mindset
Field. Factory. Forward.
Our founder, Andrés González Florescu, did not take an academic or corporate route. He started with agricultural and field work in Romania from a young age, continued with field work and practical jobs in Spain, gained experience abroad including in the United States, and moved into industrial production in Switzerland. Each step meant hands-on work, real responsibility, starting again in a new country, and the effort and sacrifices that come with it. That is where his work ethic comes from, and why VELNATYX is built the practical way: understand the material, qualify demand, then build capacity.

08 / Responsibility
Responsibility starts
with what we measure.
Our priorities are better use of regional biomass, material efficiency and a more resilient supply chain. Evidence will determine how we describe the impact.
01 / Traceability
Know the source
Build a clear record of where feedstock comes from and how it is handled.
02 / Material efficiency
Track the fractions
Monitor usable fibre, hurd and residual streams as operations develop.
03 / Environmental evidence
Measure the impact
Use testing, operating data and a planned life cycle assessment to support future claims.
Long-term innovation roadmap
The long-term ambition is large. The business we are building today is VELNATYX Materials.
Future R&D only — subject to feasibility, technology partners, regulation, market validation and separate financing
Current core
VELNATYX Materials
Technical fibre, hurd and higher-value material applications.
Future horizon 1
Residues & carbon
Lower-value residue valorisation, biochar and carbon-related applications.
Future horizon 2
Energy & process integration
Heat and energy recovery, gasification and syngas research.
Future horizon 3
Renewable molecules & fuels
Biomethanol and, much later, potential SAF-related pathways.
Investors & strategic partners
Help build the next link
in the materials chain.
The staged plan puts supply relationships, customer qualification and processing economics before larger capital commitments.
Also open to processing, research and strategic partnership conversations.
09 / Let’s talk
Tell us what you want to make.
Give us the basics. We will frame what your process needs and what to test first.
The next step should be clear
From plants
to industry.
Bring us your application, your farm or your partnership idea. We will define what matters, line up the right pieces and agree a realistic next step.
Start a conversationWhatever side of the value chain you are on, the next step should be clear:
- From regional fields to manufacturers across Europe.
- From hemp straw to fibre and hurd that industry can specify.
- From partner processing to planned capacity in Switzerland.
- From the production floor to an industrial materials company.
